EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY

This ministry provides food to individuals and families suffering from food insecurity due to lack of resources. Using a needs-based approach, we provide perishable and non-perishable food offerings to support struggling families through difficult times.
We would be pleased to accept donations of non-perishable food items to help stock our pantry.

We also have volunteer opportunities for those who would like to join this important ministry.
FRIENDSHIP KITCHEN

This ministry operates a soup kitchen every Saturday for anyone in the Lake Eufaula area who is hungry.
The Kitchen serves a hot meal every Saturday in the fellowship hall from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 251 Mathews Lane, Eufaula, OK 74432.

Volunteer teams from a number of churches in the community work together to provide a hot meal every Saturday, rain or shine. We partner with the First United Methodist, Church of Eufaula for use of their kitchen to prepare and serve the meals.
Originally, a ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Eufaula, a group of concerned individuals endeavored to satisfy an unmet need to serve hungry individuals and families in the Lake Eufaula community. Over time, other Churches connected with the ministry and began serving. As needs changed, Friendship Kitchen joined with Gods Helping Hands, and became one of our Ministries.
CHRISTMAS BOX GIVEAWAY

This ministry provides a gift box of food to hundreds of families each year during the Christmas Season.

Annually, volunteers from all over our community work together to host food drives, raise funds, pack boxes, and giveaway food. During the course of a week in December, food is collected, boxes are packed abundantly, and delivered in a drive-thru style giveaway.

This program is the largest giveaway of its kind in our community, and is our biggest event. This program serves between 300-400 families annually, representing as many as 1,000 people in our community.
As with all our programs, it is funded entirely through the generous support of volunteers, financial donors, grants, and contributors to our various food drives.
